Development Division

The goal of the Development Division of ECD is to expand the tax base by bringing people back to Macon's first neighborhoods through quality housing development and expanded economic opportunities.

Building Macon's tax base and expanding the economic opportunities for low and moderate-income families and disadvantaged businesses is the Department's primary goal. The Department offers several programs aimed at improving access to capital for affordable housing development, business start-ups and expansion, home repairs, redeveloping Brownfields and revitalizing economically depressed communities.
