Buying & Selling

The Buying and selling of vehicles and equipment is a concerted effort of The City of Macon Finance(Purchasing Division)and Vehicle Maintenance Departments. Vendors List and Bid Calls are handled through the Finance Department's Purchasing Division. The Vehicle Maintenance Department's role is to assist City of Macon departments with writing specifications for vehicles/equipment, provide justification analysis for vehicle replacements, and manage surplus or salvaged inventory, vehicles and equipment.

The City of Macon utilizes on-site and online auction methods to sell salvaged vehicles, equipment and surplus inventory.
