The Center for Economic Analysis

The Center for Economic Analysis (CEA) is housed in the School of Business at Macon State College. Their vision is to establish a center for excellence in applied business, economic, and policy research in Macon State College’s sphere of influence. As such, the center is the premier provider of analysis regarding a wide variety of pertinent issues and plays a key role in supporting economic development in Central Georgia. The purpose of the Center is:

  • To provide applied research assistance in economics, resource management, public administration and finance.
  • To conduct various technical reports including economic impact studies, program assessments and lean/six sigma projects.
  • To provide timely and accurate analysis of local, state, national and international economic conditions and trends.
  • To provide analysis of the impacts of these conditions and trends on the local economic environment to the public upon request.
