Firefighters for Life Blood Drive 2010

The 11th Annual Firefighters for Life Blood Drive will be held at 800 Oglethorpe Street(Fire Station No. 10)on Thursday July 1st 2010.This annual community event has become one of the regions largest draws,no pun intended,for blood donors to gather and share the gift of life.The American Red Cross,Sentry Construction Company, and Firehouse Subs have teamed up with our Fire Department once again to sponsor this years life giving event.Blood donation areas will open at 7:30a.m. and will remain open until 6:00p.m. or until the last drop is donated.There will be lots of good fellowship,music,food(provided by Firehouse subs),and refreshments for everyone to enjoy along with the "Big Screen T.V." for viewing while donating your gift.Donors will also be eligible to enter a drawing for a $1,000.00 gift card to be given away during the Red Cross's "Give Blood and See America" campaign that will be open to donors who give blood between July 1st and September 30th 2010.If you have a group that wants to participate in the donor process we urge you to contact Sentry Construction at (478)784-7080 or go on line and make an appointment at redcrossblood.org sponsor code maconfire.We look forward to a large turnout as usual due to the popularity of this exciting opportunity to give so more can live.
